About the Investment Services Internship

If you are interested in pursuing a career in the corporate functions of a leading global alternative investment firm, this 10-week summer internship will provide you with valuable, hands-on experience at a complex global firm. You will gain exposure to the fast-paced, competitive hedge fund industry alongside senior professionals dedicated to your success.

In addition to the learning and development you'll receive in your day-to-day role with your team, as part of our summer internship program you will:

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree

Team Overviews

Communications

The Corporate Communications team manages the global reputation of Point72 and all related entities. The team is responsible for all aspects of corporate communications, including media relations, external and internal communications, digital content and distribution, and brand management. This team works closely with Point72 senior management, functional leaders, and all departments firmwide.

Compliance

The Compliance department is an industry-leading team of compliance professionals who support global investment and trading activities by establishing and enforcing the firm's compliance policies, providing real-time advice, and conducting pre- and post-trade surveillance.

Facilities

The Facilities team delivers a high level of corporate services to our offices around the globe, including real estate, property management, construction project management, day-to-day operations, maintenance, and security.

Finance

The Finance team provides a broad range of timely, accurate, relevant, and objective financial information, advice, and services to its business partners across Corporate Accounting, Global Payments, Procurement, FP&A, and Financial Reporting, with commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Legal

Our Legal team's mission is to deliver exceptional legal services in a manner that promotes the firm's performance with the utmost integrity. Our Legal department supports all Point72 groups globally with practical advice on a variety of complex legal and regulatory matters in an ever-changing, dynamic environment.

Operational Risk

The Operational Risk group is responsible for identification, monitoring, and reporting of operational risk across the firm. We also manage business continuity, third-party risks, and commercial lines of insurance (excluding employee benefits).

Operations

The Operations team supports all operational aspects of trade processing, reconciliation, financing, and reporting firmwide for all products, including equities, derivatives, bonds, foreign exchange and futures, and digital assets across global markets.

Regulatory Reporting

The Regulatory Reporting team provides governance across all regulatory filings and related obligations globally. The team is responsible for report preparation, generating and coordinating responses for large cross-departmental filings, oversight of technology supporting regulatory filings, identification and implementation automation opportunities, and administering data standards. Regulators include but are not limited to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), National Futures Association (NFA), Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), and Kanto Finance Bureau (KFB).

Strategic Implementation

The Strategic Implementation team drives the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that enable business growth and effective change management in alignment with the firm's long-term vision. Partnering with leaders across the firm, the team ensures alignment, operational readiness, and thoughtful risk management for new business activities and enterprise programs at every stage. The team plays a critical role in delivering the programs that fuel growth, innovation, and operational excellence firmwide.

Strategy

The Strategy team is a multidisciplinary group that partners directly with the firm's businesses to identify, design, and lead value-creating strategic business initiatives. We enable the development of new businesses, engage in special projects, and support the firm's strategic planning process. We also source, negotiate, and manage the firm's data assets, building a unified foundation that supports our investment professionals and the firm's growing data and AI ambitions.

Treasury

The Treasury team supports the firm's credit and treasury functions across Central Funding, Securities Lending, and Broker Relations—verifying and disputing margin calls, reporting on counterparty exposure, investing excess cash, and negotiating margin terms with prime brokers and derivative counterparts. This work spans a range of asset classes, including equities, derivatives, bonds, foreign exchange, and futures, across global markets.

The annual base salary is $75,000 (USD) which will be prorated based on internship start and end date. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
