Geisinger is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join our Hospital Medicine team as a Nocturnist at Geisinger Mount Nittany Medical Center (MNMC) in State College, Pennsylvania. Our growing team provides high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care in a collaborative environment supported by specialty consultants, advanced practitioners and experienced nursing staff.

Located in beautiful Happy Valley, Geisinger Mount Nittany Medical Center is a 260-bed acute care hospital serving central Pennsylvania. The facility offers comprehensive medical, surgical and diagnostic services and is supported by more than 60 specialties and subspecialties. Hospitalists play a vital role in coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Job Duties:

• •Dedicated nocturnist schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• •24 clinical weeks per year
• •Block scheduling designed to support work-life balance
• •Inpatient-only practice
• •Average daily census of 15-18 patients with Advanced Practitioner support
• •Open ICU model with Critical Care specialists available for consultation and management
• •No procedures required, though procedural opportunities are available
• •Robust specialty support including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, General Surgery, Urology and Psychiatry
• •Collaborative team environment with four daytime rounding teams, one admitting team and multiple advanced practitioners

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required)
