Building the financial operating system for healthcare, and bringing the joy back to healthcare by fixing the financial chaos behind it.

The healthcare payment system is a complex and inefficient maze - healthcare practices leave $125 billion in revenue uncollected each year, lost in the chaos of fragmented financial data, manual workflows, and opaque payer systems. This financial uncertainty leaves practices struggling to stay afloat, while valuable revenue slips through the cracks.

Joyful Health is building the AI-powered financial operating system for healthcare practices. Our mission is to bring the joy back to running a private practice by simplifying financial operations so providers can focus on patient care. We spent 10 months working as fractional CFOs for a dozen practices, doing this work side by side with providers as we developed our product.

We just announced our $22M Series A led by CRV and world-class investors including the founders of MongoDB & KAYAK.

🚀 We have an enormous opportunity in front of us. The broken healthcare payment ecosystem impacts practices of all sizes, and the opportunity to make a real difference is massive.

This role is full-time. We’re looking for someone NYC-based who is open to coming into the office 3 days a week.

The base pay range for this role is $140,000-$170,000 per year + uncapped commission. Base pay offered may vary depending on job and industry-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Role Description

We’re looking for a full-cycle Account Executive to join Joyful Health and us scale our offering to more provider groups across the country.

This is a rare opportunity to join a company at the moment when product-market pull is accelerating. Healthcare practices are actively searching for better ways to manage revenue and financial operations. Because of this, we frequently see more demand than we can currently support.

This role is designed for someone who wants to own meaningful revenue early and help build the foundation of the sales team at Joyful.

You'll:

Sell a product solving one of the most painful operational problems in healthcare

Work on mid-market and enterprise deals with multi-location healthcare practices

Own the full sales cycle — from sourcing opportunities to closing contracts

Help shape the sales motion and go-to-market strategy as we scale

For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to have outsized impact on Joyful’s growth while building a career-defining track record in healthcare technology.

This role is full-time and based in NYC. We'll provide relocation assistance for the right candidate.

What you'll do…

Own the full sales cycle

Prospect, qualify, demo, negotiate, and close deals with mid-market and enterprise healthcare practices

Run consultative sales processes with multiple stakeholders including practice operators, billing leaders, and clinical leadership

Guide prospects from initial discovery through contract execution

Build and manage your pipeline

Develop your own outbound pipeline through targeted prospecting and relationship building

Convert inbound opportunities generated through our community, partnerships, and events

Maintain a strong pipeline that supports consistent quota attainment

Close complex healthcare deals

Lead thoughtful discovery conversations around financial operations and revenue cycle challenges

Run tailored product demonstrations and ROI discussions

Navigate multi-stakeholder purchasing processes and procurement workflows

Help shape our go-to-market motion

Provide feedback on messaging, positioning, and pricing based on real customer conversations

Collaborate with marketing and leadership on sales materials, case studies, and ROI narratives

Share insights that help us refine our sales motion as we grow

Build relationships in the healthcare ecosystem

Develop relationships within the RCM and healthcare operations community

Represent Joyful Health at industry events and conferences

We’d love to hear from you if…

You're passionate about Joyful Health's mission – You’re looking for a career-defining opportunity to help build a company tackling one of the most broken systems in healthcare. You’re a strong full-cycle seller

5–7+ years of B2B sales experience

Proven ability to generate pipeline and close complex deals

Comfortable owning the entire sales process from first conversation through contract

Experience managing multi-stakeholder deals with $100k+ ACV

You understand healthcare (or are excited to learn it deeply)

Experience selling into healthcare providers or healthcare organizations is strongly preferred

Familiarity with revenue cycle management, billing, or healthcare operations is a major plus

You’re curious and excited to go deep on the complexity of RCM and healthcare financial operations

You want to help build, not just sell

You’re excited about helping build the sales function , not just hitting quota

You enjoy collaborating with product, marketing, and leadership to refine messaging and strategy

You care about improving systems, not just closing deals

You bring a low-ego, high-ownership mindset

You’re thoughtful, collaborative, and focused on what’s best for the team

You’re motivated by solving real customer problems and building something meaningful
