Accountant

The GP Accountant supports Lincoln’s real estate investment portfolio at the upper-tier (general partner) level. This role is distinct from, but works in close coordination with, the accountants responsible for accounting at the joint venture and property level. The GP Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of day-to-day accounting and quarterly financial reporting for assigned upper-tier Lincoln entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal processes across the formation, predevelopment, development, and operating stages of each investment. The role offers exposure to regional leadership and capital markets teams, with visibility into investment structuring, capital activity, and reporting across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Accounting

Prepare and review monthly accruals and journal entries, and monitor cash flow to support critical payments

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations for assigned entities

Prepare and analyze quarterly financial reports for assigned upper-tier investments

Maintain partner and investor capital account records, including contributions, distributions, and allocations

Support the annual tax compliance process

Capital Activity & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Coordinate quarterly capital calls with capital markets to ensure sufficient funding

Support distribution calculations in coordination with capital markets and asset management

Collaborate with regional leadership, regional accounting, development, and capital markets teams throughout the investment lifecycle

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

2+ years of relevant accounting experience

Experience in commercial real estate and/or partnership accounting preferred

MRI or similar real estate accounting systems experience preferred

Skills & Competencies

Advanced proficiency in Excel

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration

High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple deadlines across a portfolio of assigned entities

This position is 100% in-office . The role requires working in office during standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option for this position.
