- What’s the job?
- Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will assist with the preparation of month-end journals and reconciliations across various areas, including banking, revenue, receivables and other financial statement line items as required.
You will also assist with other month-end and quarterly tasks, including the preparation of disclosure packages and analytics.

Day-to-day accountabilities:
- Preparation of timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assistance with preparation of supplementary monthly and quarterly close deliverables.
- Assistance with periodic internal and external audit requirements.
- Assistance with ad hoc financial requests as required.
- Adherence to internal control (SOX) requirements, including maintenance of critical reports and spreadsheets.

This is a 12-month fixed-term position located at our Surry Hills, Sydney Campus.
Who you are
- A Bachelor of Accounting or a similar qualification.
- Experience in finance month-end close processes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Integrity and strong business ethics.
- Advanced Excel (would be an advantage).
- CA or CPA designation (would be an advantage).
- PeopleSoft (would be an advantage).
