Accounts Receivable Officer

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will manage a designated debtor portfolio, drive collections outcomes and ensure accurate receivables processing across the business. Your work will directly contribute to revenue protection, customer satisfaction and ongoing process improvement.

This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity.

What You Will Do:

• •Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and maintain debtor ledgers in line with company policy.
• •Process and allocate incoming payments accurately and efficiently.
• •Follow up outstanding accounts and build positive customer relationships to achieve collection targets.
• •Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies and resolve account queries.
• Prepare and issue customer statements and accounts receivable reports.
• •Monitor credit limits and overdue accounts, making recommendations to the Credit Manager.
• •Process approved new account applications and maintain customer records.
• •Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

What You Bring:

• •3+ years’ experience across the full Accounts Receivable function.
• •Strong understanding of accounting principles, collections and credit practices.
• •Experience managing debtor ledgers, cash allocation and account reconciliations.
• •Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• •High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• •Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• •Microsoft Office skills and ideally exposure to Pronto ERP.
• •Construction, manufacturing or industrial sector experience will be highly regarded.
