Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Taos, NM. In this role, you will provide community-based psychiatric nursing services to individuals with serious mental illness, helping them achieve stability, independence, and improved quality of life.

This is a unique opportunity to work outside of a traditional clinical setting and make a direct impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric nursing care in community-based settings (home visits, field work, office)

Administer medications, including long-acting injectables, and monitor effectiveness

Conduct health assessments and ongoing wellness checks

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (psychiatry, therapy, case management)

Assist with crisis intervention and client stabilization

Educate clients and families on medication and health management

Complete timely and accurate documentation

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico

Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
