ACTIVITY AIDES - Part-time- Generations Applewood, Matteson, IL

Generations at Applewood in Matteson, IL, has an Immediate Opening for a Part-time Activity Aide.

$15.40 per hour! The Activity Aide will be employed on weekends, Saturday and Sunday.

Available Shifts: Part-time days (8:30a-4:30p) or (9:00a-5:00p)

Responsibilities of the Activity Aide:

• •The Activity Aide will be responsible for providing interactive and enjoyable activities for our residents
• •Assist in planning, developing, organizing programs and events to enhance physical, mental and social well-being of residents
• •Play games and make crafts with mobile residents
• •Visit bed residents on a one-to-one basis
• •Participate in resident assessment and discharge planning
• •May assist with escorting residents outside for smoking breaks

Requirements

of the Activity Aide:

• •High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• •At least a year of experience in Long-Term Care and Dementia
• •Must have excellent Customer Service skills
• •Positive, energetic and engaging demeanor
• •High level of confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards
• •Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding for older adults
• •Must be deemed eligible for hire per Illinois Department of Public Health
• •Willing to be fingerprinted if not already approved by IDPH
