Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Acute
- Location: Shropshire
- Contract: Temporary
Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their team in Shropshire. This role involves working within an acute inpatient setting , specifically across medicine, endocrine, respiratory, and renal wards , supporting patients through their recovery and ensuring safe, timely discharges.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions across acute medical wards.
Support discharge planning and ensure effective pathways for patient transitions.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
Promote independence and functional recovery for patients with complex medical needs.
Requirements:
HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
Proven experience in acute inpatient care , ideally across medicine, endocrine, respiratory, and renal specialties.
Strong understanding of discharge pathways and admission avoidance.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
