JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Skilled Trades and Technical Sciences Division is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Advanced Manufacturing Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, a commitment to equity, inclusion, and the use of the classroom experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance. The instructor teaches a full range of advanced manufacturing coursework with excellence. This position participates collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 8 years of FT related occupational experience
• OR
• 4 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Associate’s degree in discipline or related discipline
• OR
• 2 years FT related occupational experience PLUS Bachelor’s degree in discipline or related discipline.

Higher Education / Community College teaching experience preferred.

• •232-day, 12-month contract.
• •May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and may involve travel to other campuses.
• •A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
• •Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval
• •Ability to travel between campuses for meetings or position responsibilities.
• •Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.
• •Ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures and ethnicities.
• •Hiring process includes passing a background check.
