The Role and What You'll Do:

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Agent to grow and service the commercial business across our Sports Broadcasting and Legends divisions.

This is a sales-focused role responsible for generating more deal flow for a dedicated roster of broadcasters, commentators, analysts, retired athletes and other sports personalities. The agent will develop opportunities across brand partnerships, endorsements, appearances, speaking engagements and other talent-led commercial work.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience, ideally in a sales or business development role. They should have strong commercial instincts, a genuine passion for sport and a broad understanding of the sports landscape.

Strong and preferred candidates will have experience within sports sales, sports broadcasting, sports media, talent representation or athlete marketing, with established relationships across consumer brands, advertising agencies, sports properties and broadcast networks.

Key Responsibilities

• •Develop and execute commercial strategies for Sports Broadcasting and Legends clients.
• •Generate new business and build a strong pipeline of opportunities for the roster.
• •Identify and secure brand partnerships, endorsements, appearances, speaking engagements, ambassador programs, licensing and content opportunities.
• •Create and pitch partnership ideas to brands, agencies, networks and other prospective buyers.
• •Act as the day-to-day commercial representative for assigned clients.
• •Advise clients on their commercial positioning and relevant market opportunities.
• •Prepare proposals, presentations and partnership recommendations.
• •Lead commercial negotiations and work with Legal and Finance to take deals through to execution.
• •Build and maintain relationships with brands, agencies, talent buyers, broadcast networks, sports properties and event organizers.
• •Manage opportunities from initial outreach and pitching through to contracting, delivery and reporting.
• •Work closely with colleagues across Sports Broadcasting, Talent Representation, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Operations and Client Services.
• •Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and track commercial performance against revenue goals.

You Have These:

• •5+ years of experience in sales, sports business, sports marketing, sponsorship, commercial partnerships, media sales, talent representation or a related field.
• •A proven track record of generating new business and commercial revenue.
• •Strong sales skills and the confidence to proactively approach brands and prospective partners.
• •Experience working with sports talent, broadcasters, athletes, former athletes, media personalities or entertainment talent.
• •A genuine passion for sport and a broad understanding of different sports, audiences and commercial opportunities.
• •Experience negotiating endorsements, appearances, speaking engagements, sponsorships or other commercial agreements.
• •Strong relationships across brands, agencies, media companies, sports properties or talent buyers.
• •Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• •Strong commercial judgment and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
• •The ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• •A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across teams.

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus incentive compensation and participation in WME’s benefits programs. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications and location.

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.

Hiring Rate Minimum:

$187,500 annually (minimum will not fall below the applicable state/local minimum salary thresholds)

Hiring Rate Maximum:

$250,000 annually
