AIRSPEED CHAMPION

Summary

You will serve as a AIRSPEED CHAMPION in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST MRO PRODUCTION DEPT PERFORMANCE OPS MGMT & SUPT DIV of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

• •You will analyze pertinent data on facilities, equipment, tools, production records, methods of operation, flow of work, quality control, inspection requirements, and workforce utilization.
• •You will participate in management discussions on program plans, production requirements, proposed moves, expansions, schedules, coordinates, and monitors implementation and installation phases.
• •You will train and assist management representatives, Lean Champions, and employees assigned to the process improvement team.
• •You will communicate with external customers and all levels of military stakeholders to ensure mission alignment and success.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: specialized experience. Communicating and briefing personnel across all organizational levels, including artisans, production leads, and senior executive and military leadership. Utilizing lean tools like Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and other tools to establish a culture of continuous development. Instructing Lean Six Sigma (Yellow and/or Green Belt) methodologies, and apply principles, with the Naval Sustainment System (NSS) and 5S visual management methodologies, to include the grading systems for production areas. Communicating with external customers and all levels of military stakeholders to ensure mission alignment and success. Actively participates in Lean/Six-Sigma/5-S events. Attends formal and informal training sessions and briefings, and serves as a representative on continuous improvement teams, as required.
