General Purpose of the Position:

This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory records through disciplined cycle counting, inventory auditing, and systematic investigation of discrepancies. The Cycle Counter serves as a key resource for identifying root causes of inventory inaccuracies, driving corrective actions, improving inventory control processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across Materials and Manufacturing operations. The position functions as a subject matter expert in inventory accuracy, transaction compliance, and inventory control best practices. Along with support of operations as needed in various materials related roles.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Serve as the site subject matter expert for inventory control processes and inventory accuracy.
• •Lead inventory accuracy improvement initiatives across the facility.
• •Monitor inventory accuracy trends and proactively identify areas of risk before discrepancies occur.
• •Coordinate cycle counts with appropriate Line Leads, Supervisors, and Planners within scheduled shift
• •Schedule and publish schedule of cycle counts to appropriate Supervisors, Managers, and Planners
• •Complete daily cycle counts on time and corresponding Navision transactions (including adjustment journals, registering and posting, and publishing results of cycle counts to Supervisor)
• •Complete root cause investigation for all counts with discrepancies
• •Recommend procedural changes and standard work updates to eliminate recurring discrepancies.
• •Audit inventory transactions within ERP systems to ensure transaction accuracy and process compliance.
• •Investigate inventory variances resulting from production reporting, material issues, receipts, transfers, and shipping transactions.
• •Initiate root cause investigation and sustainable corrective actions with Operations – report outs to Supervisor
• •Document cycle count and root cause determination information in Excel spreadsheet or corrective action database
• •Complete additional reports related to production and inventory as directed
• •Investigate and implement improvements to inventory storage and picking procedures
• •Develop and Initiate continuous improvement efforts including, but not limited to:
• •Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving meetings related to inventory control.
• •Partner with process owners to improve ERP transaction discipline and inventory controls
• •Support CAPA and corrective action activities related to inventory control failures
• •Identifying high-risk inventory locations
• •Provide training and coaching on inventory accuracy practices
• •Conduct or support audits (physical and ERP system)
• •Sustainability reviews
• •NCM or Parts Request investigation and initiation of improvements

• •Own reporting and analysis of inventory control performance metrics.
• •Analyze inventory accuracy trends and recommend corrective actions based on data.
• •Prepare monthly inventory accuracy reviews for Materials leadership.

• •Works with Corporate and local material teams with special emphasis on cycle count, and excess and obsolete inventories.
• •Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment and work area

• •Provide feedback to DDRD team members, regarding issues or variances
• •Prompt identification of problems regarding process and quality
• •Follow safety procedures and safety policies
• •Keep NCM appropriately identified and segregated from good product.
• •Support and training with new employees as required.
• •Communicate with Supervisor regularly informing them of progress and issues that need correcting or escalation
• •Operating powered industrial vehicles (forklift, swingreach, powered pallet jackes, walkies, etc)
• •Must be able to work in a team setting and independently
• •Must meet all annual training requirements
• •Perform all other duties as assigned.

Exceptional Candidates would have:

• •Skilled in the area of warehouse management and Inventory accuracy programs
• •3 years’ experience in inventory and warehouse management systems.
• •Understanding of 8Ds and or problem-solving techniques, root cause, and corrective actions
• •Leadership – communication and techniques
• •Visual management and Lean Manufacturing warehouse experience
• •APICS/CPIM Certification

Minimum Requirements:

• •Education: High School Diploma/GED
• •Years of Experience: 2 manufacturing or inventory control

Other Qualifications:

• •Strong communication and analytical skills
• •Systems Computer skills: Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Navision preferred)
• •Experience with inventory accuracy concepts
• •Strong ability to multitask and manage own time efficiently
• •Proficient knowledge in Inventory Control and materials management systems.
• •Flexibility in schedule with ability to modify and work overtime as needed
• •Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• •Computer skills, good understanding of basic MRP fundamentals.
• •Investigated and problem-solving skill.
• •Ability to follow basic instructions, ability to work without direct supervision.
• •Parts handling experience knowledge of component identification
• •Knowledge to track shipments in transit.
• •Ability to multi-task
