YOU WILL BE:

Reporting directly to the Director of Business Systems, the Business Analyst (Finance & ERP) acts as the primary bridge between finance stakeholders and the technical delivery team. This role requires foundational business analysis expertise—process mapping, requirements elicitation, user story drafting, and user acceptance testing (UAT). You will focus initially on optimizing and stabilizing our Workday Financials ecosystem following our go-live before expanding your scope across our broader enterprise software landscape (HCM, Payroll, and cross-functional operations). Prior exposure to Workday is a plus, but strong financial business analysis skills are essential.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• •Finance Requirements & Process Mapping: Lead discovery sessions with Finance and Accounting stakeholders (Accounting, Treasury, AP/AR, FP&A) to extract core operational challenges, map current- vs. future-state financial workflows, and document clear functional specifications and user stories.
• •Workday Finance Optimization: Serve as the functional BA lead for initial Workday Financials enhancements—partnering with technical analysts to translate accounting logic, Worktag requirements, and financial control policies into system configurations.
• •ERP Scope Expansion: Broaden focus beyond Workday Finance over time to drive cross-functional alignment and process improvements across adjacent enterprise systems (Workday HCM, Payroll, Procurement, and downstream reporting tools).
• •Agile Collaboration & Backlog Management: Partner closely with squad leads and technical analysts in an agile framework to groom backlogs, prioritize financial system enhancement requests, and ensure technical designs fulfill business objectives.
• •UAT & Change Enablement: Define test strategies, author scenario-based test scripts, lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with finance teams, and create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials to drive system adoption.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• •Experience: 4+ years of dedicated experience as a Business Analyst supporting financial business processes and enterprise finance/ERP systems.
• •Core Business Analysis Mastery:
• •Expert proficiency in BA methodologies: business process modeling, requirements elicitation, gap analysis, use case development, and workflow mapping (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio).
• •Strong track record of structuring end-to-end UAT cycles, writing comprehensive functional test scripts, and securing business sign-off.

• •Domain & Systems Exposure:
• •Solid understanding of core finance and accounting concepts (GL, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Financial Close, Procurement, and Financial Reporting).
• •Experience with cloud ERP or enterprise financial platforms (e.g., Workday Financials, NetSuite, Oracle Cloud, SAP, or SAP Concur). Direct Workday Financials exposure is a strong plus.

• •Methodology & Soft Skills: Experience working within Agile/Scrum framework environments; exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting needs into actionable technical requirements.
• •Certifications (Optional): Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).

• Salary Range $92,000 - $120,000*
• Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.
