API Developer

• We are seeking an experienced SFCC API Developer to support and enhance a modern Headless Commerce platform built on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC). This role focuses on developing API-driven solutions, SCAPI integrations, and Backend for Frontend (BFF) services that enable scalable and seamless storefront experiences across global commerce channels.
• The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SCAPI, OCAPI, API orchestration, and backend integration development while collaborating closely with Full Stack Developers, Architects, and cross-functional teams to support ongoing modernization initiatives.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• •Design, develop, and maintain API-driven solutions for Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
• •Develop and enhance integrations using SCAPI, OCAPI, REST APIs, and web services.
• •Collaborate with Full Stack Developers to define and implement BFF (Backend for Frontend) services supporting headless storefront experiences.
• •Build reusable APIs and integration services to support commerce, customer, product, pricing, inventory, and checkout capabilities.
• •Develop and maintain Service Framework integrations with enterprise and third-party systems.
• •Troubleshoot and resolve API, integration, and application issues across development and production environments.
• •Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to API architecture and integration best practices.
• •Support release activities, deployment validation, and post-release monitoring.
• •Ensure API solutions meet security, scalability, performance, and maintainability standards.
• •Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and integration design artifacts.

Required Skills & Experience

• •4+ years of experience in API development and integration engineering.
• •3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) development experience.
• •Strong experience with SCAPI and OCAPI development.
• •Experience designing and developing REST APIs and web services.
• •Strong understanding of API security, OAuth, authentication, and authorization concepts.
• •Experience with JavaScript and backend integration development.
• •Experience working with SFCC Service Framework.
• •Experience designing reusable API services and integration patterns.
• •Understanding of headless commerce and composable architecture principles.
• •Experience integrating SFCC with enterprise and third-party systems.
• •Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• •Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
