This role will report to the Applications Engineering Manager and cover the Mid-West US territory which includes the following States: Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota & South Dakota.

Job Summary

The Applications Engineer will serve as a technical resource and trusted advisor to customers and industry stakeholders while supporting the growth of IPEX products and solutions across the region. This role will combine technical expertise, customer engagement, and business development to drive the specification and adoption of IPEX industrial, plumbing, and mechanical piping solutions.

This position will require regular travel up to 50% within the United States.

Principal Responsibilities

• •Promote and educate design engineers, contractors, distributors, and end users on the benefits and applications of thermoplastic industrial, plumbing, and mechanical piping systems.
• •Build strong relationships with consulting engineers, OEMs, contractors, and code officials to establish IPEX as a preferred technical partner.
• •Drive specification development and inclusion of IPEX products in corporate standards and project specifications to support business growth objectives.
• •Obtain product approvals and acceptance at state, municipal, and regulatory levels.
• •Deliver technical presentations, educational seminars, and product training programs for internal and external stakeholders.
• •Provide technical support and guidance to sales representatives, distributors, contractors, engineers, and customers.
• •Develop, maintain, and enhance technical documentation, training materials, educational resources, and product support content.
• •Represent IPEX at industry associations, trade shows, conferences, and customer events to strengthen brand awareness and market presence.
• •Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Research & Development, Engineering, Innovation, and Operations teams to support business initiatives and customer requirements.
• •Investigate product-related concerns, coordinate root cause analysis activities, and support timely customer responses and resolutions.
• •Monitor industry trends, codes, standards, and competitive developments to identify opportunities for growth and product adoption.

Qualifications & Experience

• •Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• •Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience, preferably within technical sales, applications engineering, construction products, piping systems, mechanical systems, or related industries
• •Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused solutions
• •Customer-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• •Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
• •Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• •Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% throughout the United States
