Applications Engineer

Job Summary:

Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced Applications Engineer. In this function you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and special applications.

You will act as a product specialist (industrial pumps product portfolio) in a team and work closely with the sales, development and other specialist departments at the site.

• Responsibilities & Requirements:
• - Prepare quotations by evaluating customers’ requirements and provide quotation responses by sizing, specifying and pricing valves in accordance with customers’ specifications
• - Prepare technically sound and cost-effective quotations, in order to contribute to obtaining related sales and bookings growth
• - Prepare detailed, complete and correct purchase order transfer files for proper transfer into our respective manufacturing operations
• - Participate in bid clarification meetings with the customers
• - Develop a keen understanding of the Flowserve product lines and their respective operations to enhance application engineering, quotation generation and sales support efforts

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• - 3-5 years of relevant experience as an Applications Engineer or similar role such as Inside Sales Representative, Engineer
• - Bsc degree ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field

- Working proficiency in English (Hungarian is a must)

- Strong technician acumen and analytical thinking

• - SAP knowledge Experience in dealing with common MS Office applications
• - Good communication skills
