Apprentice / Journeyperson Carpenter

Essential Responsibilities

• •Read and interpret drawings and specifications to prepare layouts, select materials, and plan work activities
• •Construct, install, and dismantle traditional and engineered concrete forming systems
• •Measure, mark, cut, and assemble materials accurately according to project requirements
• •Plan work sequences and methods to complete tasks efficiently and avoid costly errors or rework
• •Inspect completed work to ensure it is level, square, plumb, and built to specifications
• •Maintain Ledcor’s high standards for safety, quality, and productivity
• •Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and within project timelines

Qualifications

• •Journeyperson Carpenter ticket from a recognized provincial training authority, OR
• •Apprentice Carpenter (Levels 3–4) registered with a recognized provincial training authority, OR
• •Minimum 4 years of carpentry experience for non-ticketed carpenters
• •Experience with concrete forming and engineered forming systems
• •Must be able to provide government-issued photo identification
• •Successfully complete all required project orientations

Work Conditions

• •Work schedule: 10 days on, 4 days off
• •Extended health benefits provided through CLAC
• •Weekly payment of wages
• •No camp accommodation or travel allowance provided
• •Ideal for candidates residing in the Greater Edmonton region
