Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP)

Liquid Personnel is currently seeking a qualified and warranted Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to support its client's busy Adult Social Care service on the Isle of Wight. This opportunity has arisen due to a short-term increase in workload and offers a flexible working pattern across both core and out-of-hours services.

What will your responsibilities be?

Carry out statutory AMHP duties within Adult Social Care

Undertake Mental Health Act assessments in line with legislation

Work flexibly across office hours and out-of-hours AMHP rota

Collaborate with the Community Mental Health Team and wider partners

Limited involvement in social care casework where required

About the Team:

You will be part of the Adult Social Care and Housing Mental Health Team, working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Location and Travel:

• This role is based on the Isle of Wight, with office presence at County Hall in Newport.
• Please note: Travel via ferry is required for this position.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have;

Qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration

Warranted AMHP status

Proven experience completing Mental Health Act assessments

Ability to work flexibly, including evening and out-of-hours shifts

Strong decision-making and risk assessment skills
