About The Role

Are you an inspiring senior leader with a passion for developing people, driving operational excellence, and delivering outstanding customer and clinical outcomes?

We're looking for an exceptional Area Director to lead and support a network of veterinary practices across Ireland Area 1. This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll act as the strategic link between our practices and central support teams, helping to shape culture, improve performance, and create an environment where people and practices thrive.

As Area Director, you will provide strategic, operational, and commercial leadership across your area, supporting Clinical Directors and practice leadership teams to achieve outstanding results. You'll play a critical role in improving team wellbeing, leadership capability, clinical quality, financial performance, operational effectiveness, and colleague retention.

This role is ideal for a proven multi-site leader who enjoys coaching others, influencing change, and building high-performing teams within a complex and fast-paced environment

What You'll Be Doing

* Lead, motivate and coach Clinical Directors and practice leaders across Ireland Area 1

* Drive operational, commercial and people performance across a network of practices

* Champion colleague wellbeing, engagement and retention initiatives

* Support the delivery of exceptional clinical quality and client care

* Identify opportunities to improve performance and develop underperforming practices

* Build strong leadership capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning

* Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across practices

* Partner closely with the Area Support Manager and central support functions to deliver strategic initiatives

* Support acquisitions and practice integration activities

* Take ownership of area financial performance, budgets and key business KPIs

* Act as an ambassador for our culture, values and strategic priorities.

About You

We're looking for someone who can confidently influence at all levels and bring people together behind a shared vision.

* Significant leadership experience, including coaching and developing senior leaders

* A proven track record of delivering strong business results

* Experience managing multiple sites, regions or locations

* Strong commercial and operational acumen

* Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills

* The ability to inspire, motivate and engage diverse teams

* Experience driving performance improvement and organisational change

* Strong financial understanding, including budget management and KPI delivery

* High levels of emotional intelligence, resilience and adaptability

* A full, valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across Ireland.
