About the Role
We seek an Area Manager to bring Amazon’s customer obsession to life. In this role, you’ll oversee operations across multiple locations, leading shift leaders to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You’ll cultivate a dynamic team culture rooted in customer obsession, trust, respect, continuous learning, and enthusiasm.
- Key job responsibilities
- - Lead shift leads and associates, overseeing hiring, onboarding, performance, and career growth.
- - Drive daily operations by executing SOPs, identifying improvements, implementing solutions, and providing training.
- - Foster a customer-focused culture aligned with Amazon’s Leadership Principles.
- - Track key metrics, manage performance inputs, and present results in business reviews.
- - Oversee multiple sites, prioritize time effectively, and develop strong store leadership.
- - Ensure a safe, clean, and secure environment for employees, customers, and packages.
- - Handle escalations and guide associates on issue resolution.
- - Travel 50-75% between locations.
- - Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- - Lift up to 49 lbs and stand for shifts up to 10 hours.
- - Must be at least 18 years old.

Basic qualifications
- - Experience in customer-facing leadership roles
- - Experience in problem solving and delivering results
- - Experience working independently with minimal supervision
- - 2+ years leadership experience in a customer-facing retail, hospitality, or grocery environment, or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Preferred qualifications
- - Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions
- - 2+ years of people management leading teams of 20 experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
