Job Summary:

The Assembler is responsible for assembling crane components to support production schedules.

Job Duties:

• •Assembles sub-assemblies and/or finished products in accordance with written and verbal instructions. (Industrial Cranes and Crane sub-assemblies)
• •Performs all aspects of assembly work.
• •In accordance with company procedures, cleans and prepares units for next operation.
• •Safely operates heavy equipment as directed.
• •Performs inspection activities.
• •Maintains accurate records.
• •May be required to operate forklifts.
• •Complies with all requirements of Quality Control.
• •Ensures compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
• •Performs additional duties as required.

Requirements

• •High school diploma or GED equivalent
• •1-2 years relevant work experience
• •Requires knowledge of mechanical assemblies and testing
• •Able to read prints and shop manuals
• •Must be able to read a tape, scale and micrometer
• •Must be able to perform simple computer entry for time keeping purposes
• •Prior experience with hand and air tools

Physical Requirements:

• •Ability to stand/walk 95% of the work day
• •Lift up to 50 pounds with the assistance of overhead crane and/or co-workers
• •Twist, reach and bend frequently
• •Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine)
• •Possess depth perception and peripheral vision
• •Possess the ability to hear
• •Possess the ability to ascend and descend a ladder

Working Conditions:

• •Subject to standing on hard surfaces up to 12 hours per day
• •Exposure to hot and cold conditions, noise, chemicals, and heavy equipment
