Job Description:

Job Summary

Under limited supervision, is responsible for work requiring specialized knowledge for the efficient operation of the academic programs within the Seidel School. The specialist performs a full range of professional and analytical assignments involving application of management principles and techniques to routine operational activities. Core responsibilities include academic program operations, budget alignment, and data collection/analysis for accreditation and program review processes and compliance reporting. Authority and Accountability This position reports directly to the Dean of the Seidel School of Education. While there may be no direct reports, the specialist may supervise or coordinate the work of clerical personnel, student workers, or graduate assistants for specific projects.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • An earned bachelor’s degree with four years of experience in administrative staff work.
  • Working knowledge of reference and research methods and techniques for collecting and organizing data and information.
  • Application of analytical and statistical principles and techniques.
  • Ability to use that working knowledge to perform mathematical computations.
  • Present statistical material in chart and graph form.
  • Present ideas and information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Use office automation software and its applications.
  • Handle sensitive information and materials with discretion and tact.
  • Ability to independently handle multiple tasks and set priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Teams)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday, PeopleSoft, and Qualtrics platforms.
  • Experience working at an institute of higher education.
  • Experience with accreditation and program review procedures.

Additional Job Information:

The position is a full-time, exempt state role with comprehensive benefits.
