Assistant Clinical Assessor

Role Description

The Assistant Clinical Assessor will provide clinical and developmental support across Kove centres, with a focus on child assessment, enrolled-parent support, facilitator guidance, developmental monitoring, and clinical coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• •Conduct developmental screenings and routine assessments for children aged 2–6 years.
• •Conduct parent interviews and gather relevant developmental history.
• •Maintain records of assessment reports, PLOP summaries, developmental observations, and recommendations.
• •Act as the SPOC for all enrolled parents for developmental updates, routine concerns, communication, and follow-up.
• •Guide facilitators on individual children's developmental, behavioural, communication, and learning needs.
• •Monitor children's developmental progress and flag concerns requiring clinical review.
• •Coordinate referrals and follow-ups with therapy and other relevant professionals.
• •Coordinate with facilitators, therapists, and centre teams to ensure continuity of support.
• •Follow Kove's clinical SOPs, confidentiality, documentation, and child-safety protocols.
• •Escalate complex clinical concerns and cases to the Clinical Assessor / Cluster Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• •M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology / Child Psychology / Applied Psychology
• •OR
• •B.Ed. Special Education / Master's in Special Education
• •Relevant experience in early childhood, developmental assessment, special education, or early intervention.

Experience & Skills

• •3–5 years of experience working with children, preferably aged 2–6 years.
• •Knowledge of developmental milestones and developmental screening.
• •Strong observation, documentation, and report-writing skills.
• •Good parent communication and follow-up skills.
• •Ability to guide facilitators and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• •Ability to work independently across multiple centres.
