IBAL has a 12-month secondment opportunity as Assistant Company Secretary, supporting the effective operation of the Board, Board Committees and Executive Committee of IBAL by coordinating high quality and timely information, maintaining reliable governance records and controls, monitoring follow-up decisions and actions, and identifying matters requiring escalation with the CoSec. This role contributes to governance processes that enable directors and senior management to discharge their responsibilities safely and effectively.

What you’ll do
Coordinate defined governance processes end-to-end
Support disciplined and well controlled information flows to Board and Committees
Maintain reliable governance records and actions
Provide routine guidance on approved governance policy and processes; and
Identify governance issues and recommend process improvements.
What we’re looking for
A governance background and skill set with sound judgement within a regulated environment
Experience in roles with responsibility for management, board information quality, governance advice and regulatory obligations
Understanding and practical application of risk controls and experience with financial services governance (APRA/ASIC)
Development and implementation of continuous improvements
A legal, Governance or related discipline/qualifications
