Assistant Nurse/Medical Scriber

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist nurses with daily patient care and comfort.
  • Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, feeding, mobility, and positioning.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
  • Assist with medication-related activities according to facility policies and scope of practice.
  • Support physicians with referral documentation, prescriptions, and follow-up information as permitted by the organization.
  • Maintain infection-control and safety standards.
  • Assist with patient transfers and transportation when required.
  • Communicate patients’ concerns and changes in condition to the Registered Nurse.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient-care areas.
  • Support nurses and other healthcare professionals during routine clinical activities.
  • Communicate with clinical and administrative staff regarding documentation requirements.
  • Follow hospital/clinic policies and procedures.
