Assistant Operations Supervisor - Community Recreation & Environmental Center (CREC)

Haverford Township is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Assistant Operations Supervisor to help oversee the daily operations of the Community Recreation & Environmental Center (CREC). This position plays a key role in creating exceptional experiences for residents, renters, guests, and community members while helping manage one of the Township's premier recreation facilities.

What You'll Do

Coordinate and oversee facility rentals and special events from planning through completion.

Supervise and schedule part-time rental and event staff.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and facility users during events.

Monitor facility operations and building systems, including HVAC, lighting, security, and access controls.

Coordinate maintenance needs and ensure the facility is clean, safe, and event-ready.

Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and sound judgment.

Serve as Manager on Duty during evenings, weekends, and in the absence of the Facility Operations Manager.

Qualifications

Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

Three (3) or more years of experience in facility operations, event management, hospitality, recreation, customer service, or a related field.

Prior supervisory or lead-worker experience preferred.

Valid Driver's License required.

CPR/AED/First Aid certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Schedule

Full-Time (40 Hours per Week)

Weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
