Child Focus is seeking a caring and dedicated Head Start Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood team. In this role, you will work alongside teaching staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where young children can learn, explore, and grow.

The Assistant Teacher will help implement a research-based curriculum , engage children in meaningful learning experiences, and support their social, emotional, and developmental growth. This is a great opportunity for an early childhood professional who enjoys working with children and families and wants to make a meaningful difference in the community.

What You’ll Do

• •Assist the teacher in implementing a research-based curriculum.
• •Engage positively with children through play, learning activities, and daily classroom routines.
• •Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• •Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• •Assist with setting up and maintaining classroom materials and learning activities.
• •Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and grow.
• •Support the teacher in meeting the individual needs of children and families.
• •Work cooperatively with teachers and other team members.
• •Assist with light classroom cleaning and organization.
• •Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.

Position Details

• Location: Head Start location in Clermont County
• Schedule: Full-time, seasonal
• Program Schedule: Classroom operates August through May

Education Requirements

Required: CDA or Associate Degree required, with the Associate Degree preferred
