Associate - Commercial Manager

Job Description

We are seeking Associate - Commercial Manager to lead the post-contract commercial management of multiple residential villa and mid-rise projects in the UAE. The role requires expertise in FIDIC Red Book, cost reporting, cash flow management, variations, change control, determinations, and contractual advisory services. The successful candidate will lead commercial teams, provide strategic client-facing support, and drive effective commercial and contractual outcomes across a portfolio of projects.

Your role

• •Lead and manage the commercial team across all project phases.
• •Act as the primary commercial interface with senior Contractor and Consultant representatives.
• •Oversee the administration of contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• •Manage and resolve complex commercial, contractual, and claims-related matters.
• •Provide strategic commercial advice and robust recommendations to project leadership.
• •Review and negotiate commercial submissions, variations, and contractual correspondence.
• •Drive timely commercial decisions to support project objectives and delivery milestones.
• •Protect and maintain the Employer's commercial and contractual interests.
• •Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders while ensuring commercial governance.
• •Monitor commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• •Support dispute avoidance and resolution through effective negotiation and stakeholder management.
• •Ensure successful project delivery through proactive commercial leadership and control.
• •Lead commercial and contractual activities on behalf of the Employer.
• •Manage cost, change, claims, and contract administration.
• •Act as the key commercial interface between project stakeholders.
• •Provide commercial advice and protect the Employer’s interests.

About you

• •Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• •MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is mandatory.
• •Minimum 10+ years' experience in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management.
• •Extensive UAE experience in the delivery of residential mid-rise, mixed-use and community developments.
• •Proven experience leading commercial teams across multiple projects simultaneously.
• •Demonstrable post-contract expertise within consultancy, PMC, or client organizations.
• •Advanced knowledge of FIDIC Red Book contracts.
• •Expert understanding of post-contract commercial management.
• •Cost reporting and financial management.
• •Cash flow forecasting and analysis.
• •Variations and change management.
• •Final account negotiations and settlement.
• •Claims management and entitlement assessment.
• •Contract administration and determination processes.
• •Commercial risk management.
• •Cost analytics and benchmarking.
