Your Role at Delta Faucet

The Associate Commodity Manager supports the development and execution of commodity and supplier strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams. This role assists in managing supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance, and supporting sourcing initiatives that help achieve cost, quality, delivery, and service objectives. The Associate Commodity Manager develops knowledge of assigned commodities, suppliers, and market dynamics while building foundational procurement and supply chain expertise. In this role, you will be encouraged to think creatively, contribute new ideas, and develop an understanding of the global supply base and commodity cost drivers.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will support sourcing strategies and supplier management activities that contribute to best-in-class service, cost, quality, and working capital performance.

• •Support the development and execution of commodity objectives, sourcing strategies, and supplier initiatives.
• •Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, value management, engineering, marketing, operations, and finance to support alignment and execution of action plans.
• •Assist with cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives through activities such as supplier benchmarking, value management, bidding events, and process improvement efforts.
• •Support RFQ activities for new product development (NPD) and engineering changes, including supplier communications, quote analysis, and documentation.
• •Monitor supplier performance metrics including on-time shipping and delivery (OTS/D), rejected parts per million (RPPM), lead time, PPAP approvals, and overall supplier performance.
• •Assist with supplier relationship management and support supplier performance improvement activities.
• •Support cross-functional supply chain and sourcing projects as assigned.
• •Maintain compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and department standard work.
• •Participate in special projects, stretch assignments, management requests, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• •Collaborate with Commodity Managers and other team members to build procurement knowledge, business process understanding, and professional development.
• •Travel to Indianapolis for training, supplier visits, and business meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• •Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• •Internship, co-op, or professional experience in purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, or a related business function preferred.
• •Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams. Experience with Smartsheet and Power BI is a plus.
• •Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• •Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• •Understanding of continuous improvement concepts such as Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.
• •Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• •Interest in developing negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing skills.
• •CPSM, APICS, or related certifications are a plus.
• •Travel required: up to 10% domestic travel and occasional international travel as business needs require.

Hiring Range: $56,900.00 - $89,320.00 USD
