Automotive Appearance & Operations Manager

Compensation: Up to $75,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and performance

We are seeking a highly organized, polished, and hands-on Automotive Appearance & Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our vehicle appearance and reconditioning team.

This position is responsible for keeping vehicles moving efficiently through the appearance and reconditioning process while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, timeliness, and customer readiness.

The ideal candidate is a confident leader who can manage a diverse team, build and maintain production schedules, hold employees accountable to deadlines, coordinate with vendors and suppliers, and work closely with Sales and Inventory Management to ensure a seamless process from vehicle arrival through completion.

This is an operations leadership position for someone who takes ownership, solves problems, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• •Lead and develop the team by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and maintaining accountability for productivity, quality, attendance, and performance.
• •Plan and manage production schedules to ensure vehicles are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
• •Oversee daily workflow by monitoring vehicle progress, identifying bottlenecks, and resolving operational issues that impact turnaround times.
• •Coordinate across departments with Sales, Inventory Management, vendors, and suppliers to prioritize vehicles and keep the process moving.
• •Manage department resources including supplies, equipment, records, and operational systems to support efficiency and productivity.
• •Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve processes, workflow, quality, and overall department performance.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• •Proven leadership or management experience in automotive, dealership, production, logistics, fleet, or another fast-paced operational environment.
• •Strong organizational, scheduling, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• •Ability to lead a diverse team, establish expectations, and hold employees accountable.
• •Professional and confident communication skills with employees, management, vendors, and other departments.
• •Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• •Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, efficiency, and results.
• •Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, email, and Microsoft Office or similar programs.
• •Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• •Automotive or dealership experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
