At Kendall Auto Mall of Fairbanks, our parts department is a fun and friendly environment serving technicians within the dealership as well as clients and businesses throughout the community by selling OEM and aftermarket parts.

We are a premier employer in the area and our dealership serves not only the local community but also all the outlying, rural communities with all their Toyota, Honda and Subaru parts and service needs.

Job duties will include selling parts to customers and vendors via phone, email, and in person, maintaining inventory records, assisting customers and technicians with parts needs and obtaining parts information, creating invoices, processing orders, returns, warranties, and receiving parts. You will be working with customers and technicians closely, the ability to communicate effectively, make recommendations, and prioritize items in order of importance is required.

Work in performed indoors spending up to 75% of work shift using computers and phone systems. Standing and walking for up to 30% of work shift is required to assist clients at the counter and deliver parts to technicians. Carrying and lifting 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds rarely required when moving parts.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates with 1-2 years of automotive experience, including inventory control, and knowledge of electronic parts catalogues; experience with manufacturer specific catalogues is preferred. Applicant must have an excellent work ethic; including being reliable, punctual, and self-motivated. Work history should reflect these traits.
