JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

• The Automotive Technology department is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Automotive Technology Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, equity, inclusion and the use of the classroom/lab experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance. Teach a variety of classes in the Automotive Technology program at the Applied Technology Center.
• Applicants must meet the minimum program qualifications as well as be ASE Certified.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 8 years full-time related occupational experience or approved Journey- worker status plus ASE
• certification
• OR
• 4 years full-time related occupational experience and an Associate’s degree in career field plus ASE
• certification.

• 2 years full-time related occupational experience and a Bachelor’s degree in the discipline or in a
• related discipline plus ASE certification.

Compensation: $580 per Equivalent Credit Hours (ECH)

• May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and will involve travel to other campuses.
• A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
• Hiring process includes passing a background check.
