About the team

The Pipeline squad owns the infrastructure, build, release, and security foundations that every other Jetstream squad builds on top of. Jetstream is a NestJS + Angular monorepo deployed into Azure Kubernetes via Helm, shipped through GitLab CI/CD, and running on the wider PTC Atlas platform. We're the squad that makes shipping fast, safe, and boring so product squads can focus on features.

What you will do:

• •Work on services from development through to deployment and running them in production.
• •Build and maintain backend services, mainly using TypeScript, Node.js and NestJS.
• •Help improve our GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including build, test, security and deployment.
• •Work with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm to deploy and troubleshoot our services.
• •Improve developer tooling and workflows, particularly where we can remove manual work or make things simpler.
• •Help improve observability, monitoring and debugging across our services.
• •Work alongside DevOps on infrastructure and automation where needed, including things like Terraform and Azure.
• •Generally be comfortable working across backend development, CI/CD and the platform rather than focusing only on application code.

Experience:

• •Strong backend development experience, ideally TypeScript/Node.js/NestJS.
• •Good CI/CD experience, ideally GitLab CI.
• •Good experience with Docker and some practical Kubernetes experience.
• •Experience deploying and troubleshooting services, not just developing them locally.
• •A good understanding of testing, debugging, logging and monitoring.
• •Comfortable working across application and infrastructure/deployment areas.
• •Helm, Terraform and Azure/AKS experience would be useful, but I wouldn't make all of these hard requirements.
• •Experience with PostgreSQL, APIs and asynchronous/messaging systems would also be useful given the services we work with.

Nice to have:

• •Experience creating agentic development workflows or writing and maintaining AI skills.
• •npm workspaces / shared-package build systems.
• •Experience supporting SaaS platforms with strict data-privacy requirements (enterprise/multinational customers).
