You'll also serve as a lead for part-time employees and collaborate closely with the bakery team to keep production running smoothly.

If you have a passion for decorating, an eye for detail, and enjoy working with customers to create something memorable, we'd love to have you on our team.

Track daily retail production and identify tasks to be completed with co-workers

Check product dates, pull cases for work, and list items to fill or replace

Order supplies for the decorating area and check off the order upon receipt

Deliver product and set up wedding cakes on site outside the store

Communicate with the Bakery Manager daily regarding displays, weekly ads, and special needs

Operate as a lead with part-time and other employees by instructing and reviewing their work

Participate in employee cross-training

Practice proper sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean, neat, and safe at all times

Answer the phone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call, including taking product orders

Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all department and company guidelines

Pitch in with other tasks or special projects as they come up

Safety is always a priority, and training is provided to help ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
