Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Accredited Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to join a busy pharmacy team based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled pharmacy professional to contribute to the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services within a supportive healthcare environment.

The successful candidate will work with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring the accurate dispensing and checking of medicines while supporting the wider pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake accredited final accuracy checking of dispensed medicines in accordance with local policies and procedures

Support the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services across clinical areas

Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision

Maintain high standards of medicines management and governance

Ensure compliance with medicines legislation, professional standards, and Trust policies

Contribute to medicines optimisation and patient safety initiatives

Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and multidisciplinary teams

Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation

Qualifications and Experience

GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician (or Pharmacist)

Current and recognised Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification or documented assurance of competency

Proven experience working within an NHS or hospital pharmacy setting

Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage workload effectively

Strong knowledge of pharmacy procedures, medicines management, and patient safety principles

Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

Commitment to delivering high standards of pharmaceutical care
