We are seeking a Biomedical Science Histologist to join our esteemed client in Brighton. This role involves performing routine histopathology laboratory duties, with a primary focus on microtomy sectioning (standard, mega, singles, levels, and cores), routine H&E staining using Leica Spectra, and embedding various histology specimens. The successful candidate will work closely with pathologists and laboratory teams, ensuring high-quality sample processing and adherence to clinical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires expertise in histopathology, including precise microtomy sectioning, routine H&E staining, and embedding histology specimens to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. The histologist will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control standards, and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the histopathology lab. Additionally, they will contribute to training and competency assessments, ensuring compliance with UKAS accreditation standards.
Qualifications & Experience
HCPC registration (essential).
Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
Extensive experience in histology and tissue analysis.
Strong attention to detail and technical precision.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
