Bartender

Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests while ensuring excellent service, product quality and a clean and well-organised bar area.

Key Responsibilities

• •Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• •Provide friendly and professional service to guests.
• •Ensure drinks are prepared consistently and presented according to hotel standards.
• •Take beverage orders accurately and attend to guest requests.
• •Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and service areas.
• •Ensure sufficient mise en place, garnishes, glassware and bar supplies are available.
• •Monitor beverage stock and assist with inventory and stock-taking.
• •Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the bar.
• •Handle cash and billing transactions accurately when required.
• •Minimise wastage and breakage and ensure proper portion control.
• •Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• •Maintain good knowledge of the beverage menu and assist guests with recommendations.
• •Support the team during events, functions and busy service periods.
• •Ensure compliance with hotel and Accor standards, policies and procedures.
• •Perform other duties as assigned by the F&B Management.

Requirements

• •Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Bartender in a hotel, restaurant or bar.
• •Knowledge of cocktails, beverages and basic bartending techniques.
• •Good customer service and communication skills.
• •Positive, friendly and service-oriented attitude.
• •Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• •Good team player with a willingness to learn.
• •Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• •Open to Malaysian candidates only; preferably local Sarawakian.
