Job Title: SAP BASIS Consultant

Work Location: Ahmedabad

· Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems such as ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, and others.

· Manage SAP system landscapes including Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments.

· Perform system copies, client copies, and system refreshes.

· Monitor and analyze system performance using SAP tools (e.g., ST02, ST03N, SM50, SM66).

· Tune SAP systems for optimal performance, including parameter optimization and workload distribution.

· Implement best practices for system stability and performance.

· Apply SAP patches, enhancement packs, and support packages.

· Plan and execute SAP system upgrades (e.g., ECC to S/4HANA).

· Manage kernel upgrades and database upgrades.

· Manage user roles, authorizations, and profiles to ensure system security.

· Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard SAP environments.

· Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.

· Perform database management tasks such as backup, recovery, and optimization.

· Monitor database performance and resolve issues related to SAP databases (e.g., HANA, ASE Sybase, Oracle, Max DB)

· Implement HANA database management procedures, including backups, replication, and recovery.

· Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP system issues.

· Work with SAP OSS and other support teams to resolve critical issues.

· Document incident resolution and provide root cause analysis.

· Set up and maintain system monitoring using SAP Solution Manager and other monitoring tools.

· Generate and analyze system performance reports.

· Proactively identify and resolve potential system issues.

· Work closely with other SAP functional and technical teams to support business processes.

· Provide support for project implementations and migrations.

Technical Skills:

· Proficient in SAP system installations, configurations, and administration.

· Strong knowledge of SAP HANA and other databases (e.g., ASE Sybase, Oracle, Max DB).

· Experience with SAP system upgrades, patches, and support packages.

· Understanding of SAP security, user management, and role-based access control.

· Familiarity with operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows) and networking concepts.
