About Altior Healthcare

Our family of services comprises three distinct mental health treatment programs, including a specialized program for US Veterans. With over 15 unique locations, we manage and support 500+ dedicated employees serving over 300 residential clients daily located across five states: California, Idaho, Maine, New Hampshire, and Texas.

Paradigm Treatment (West Coast) and Ridge RTC (East Coast) partner together under Altior, united by a shared commitment to providing exceptional mental health care. For over a decade, our core clinical and support teams have worked side-by-side, delivering compassionate, evidence-based treatment that changes lives.

As part of the Altior network, you’ll find the stability of an established organization with the heart of a close-knit treatment community where every role matters.

The Behavioral Healthcare Advisor will serve as a primary resource for clinicians, hospitals, treatment providers, interventionists, educational consultants, families, and other referral partners across the region. From the initial inquiry through admission and ongoing continuity of care, this individual will work closely with referral sources and Altior’s admissions and clinical teams to ensure each case is handled with responsiveness, professionalism, and sound clinical judgment.

In addition to supporting treatment placement, this role will develop regional referral relationships, represent Altior Healthcare at professional events, provide consultation on complex cases, and help identify opportunities to strengthen the referral and admission experience. The ideal candidate brings an established understanding of the behavioral healthcare landscape, a strong professional presence, and the ability to build meaningful, long-term partnerships throughout an assigned territory.

This is not a commission-based or quota-driven sales position. Success in this role is measured through clinical integrity, responsiveness, relationship development, continuity of care, and the quality of the referral experience.

Candidates must currently reside within the Pacific Northwest and be comfortable traveling regularly throughout the assigned territory. Travel will include referral-partner meetings, facility tours, conferences, networking events, and other professional engagements. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with behavioral healthcare providers, clinicians, hospitals, treatment programs, interventionists, educational consultants, and other referral partners throughout the assigned territory

Support regional growth through thoughtful territory planning, referral development, and community engagement

Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for individuals, families, and professionals seeking behavioral healthcare resources or treatment placement

Assess prospective referrals and provide ethical, clinically appropriate placement guidance based on each individual’s needs

Coordinate closely with admissions, outreach, operations, and clinical teams throughout the inquiry, pre-admission, and admission process

Maintain consistent communication with referral sources and ensure timely follow-up throughout the placement process

Provide consultation and support for complex cases, high-priority referrals, and established professional relationships

Assist representatives and referral partners with discharge planning and continuity-of-care resources

Represent Altior Healthcare at conferences, facility tours, networking events, professional meetings, and community engagements

Evaluate conference and event opportunities to ensure alignment with organizational and territory goals

Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development support to outreach representatives as needed

Identify gaps within referral, communication, and admission processes and collaborate with internal teams to improve the overall experience

Accurately document outreach activity, referral communication, relationship development, and follow-up efforts within the organization’s CRM

Remain informed about Altior Healthcare’s programs, levels of care, admissions criteria, and available clinical services

Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, ethical judgment, and clinical integrity

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience within behavioral healthcare

Minimum of five years of experience in behavioral healthcare admissions, treatment placement, outreach, business development, care coordination, or a related area

Previous experience managing a regional territory or developing professional referral relationships

Strong understanding of the behavioral healthcare treatment continuum and placement process

Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex situations and provide ethical, clinically appropriate guidance

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills

Strong professional presence and ability to represent the organization within clinical and professional settings

Collaborative leadership style with experience supporting, mentoring, or coaching others

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple referrals, relationships, and follow-up responsibilities

Experience using CRM systems; Salesforce experience is strongly preferred

Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive clinical and personal information

Location and Travel Requirements

Candidates must currently reside within the Pacific Northwest and within reasonable proximity to the assigned territory

Frequent regional travel is required for referral meetings, professional events, facility tours, conferences, and relationship-development activities

Occasional overnight and out-of-area travel may be required

Candidates must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel independently throughout the territory

Availability for occasional evening or weekend events may be required

Preferred Qualifications

Established professional relationships within the Pacific Northwest behavioral healthcare community

Experience working with residential treatment, mental health, substance use, or other specialized behavioral healthcare programs

Previous experience supporting adolescent, young-adult, or adult treatment placement

Experience collaborating directly with admissions and clinical teams

Experience providing leadership or mentorship within an outreach, admissions, or care-coordination department
