Position Summary:

Reporting to the Territory Manager, the Associate Account Manager is responsible for supporting sales regions to achieve loan volume and revenue targets. Key responsibilities include preparing and submitting new and renewing premium finance loans under a pre-defined volume threshold, following up on renewals, submitting loans for conversion, assisting with credit and pricing requests and providing excellent customer service to brokers via phone and email.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare incoming quote requests

Proactively perform follow-up on renewal and lost quotes from the prior year

Assist with loan submissions; ensure loans are properly submitted for conversion

Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers representing FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada in a professional manner

Provide customer service and assistance to brokers calling in and emailing with inquiries

Identify and manage existing high priority brokers

Manage overall pricing margins and broker profitability

Analyze broker profitability to help determine broker’s segment

Apply the appropriate credit risk and pricing analysis when assisting with underwriting requests

Provide brokers with training on systems and processes as required

Escalate new business opportunities, programs and solutions to the Account Manager for further investigation

Support arrears where there may be possible relationship impacts

Support new business development activity

Undertake periodic visits to brokers’ offices

Other job-related duties as assigned

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Required:

Strong organizational and time management skills; able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Accuracy and attention to detail

Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, proactive, ‘can do’ attitude

Accountable for results

Ability to work as part of a team

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Desire for continuous learning

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)

Training / Education / Experience Qualifications:

University/college degree is preferred

3-5 years business experience

Commercial credit experience an asset

Understanding of commercial insurance policies an asset

Experience with insurance brokering network an asset

Understanding of various financial products an asset

Fully Bilingual in French and English both Verbal and Written.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $42,000 - $55,000, along with eligibility to earn a quarterly bonus. Actual pay rate may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience

Sommaire du poste:

Relevant du gestionnaire de territoire, le gestionnaire de compte associé est responsable de soutenir les régions de vente afin d'atteindre les objectifs de volume de prêts et de revenus. Les responsabilités principales comprennent la préparation et la soumission de nouveaux prêts de financement de primes ainsi que le renouvellement de ceux-ci sous un seuil de volume prédéfini, le suivi des renouvellements, la soumission des prêts aux fins de conversion, l'assistance dans les demandes de crédit et de tarification, ainsi que la prestation d'un excellent service à la clientèle auprès des courtiers par téléphone et par courriel.

Fonctions et responsabilités essentielles:

Préparer les demandes de soumission entrantes

Effectuer de façon proactive le suivi des soumissions renouvelées et perdues de l'année précédente

Assister dans la soumission des prêts; s'assurer que les prêts sont soumis correctement aux fins de conversion

Développer et entretenir des relations solides avec les courtiers, représentant Financement d’Assurances FIRST du Canada de façon professionnelle

Fournir un service à la clientèle et une assistance aux courtiers qui téléphonent ou écrivent des courriels avec des demandes de renseignements

Identifier et gérer les courtiers existants à haute priorité

Gérer les marges de tarification globales et la rentabilité des courtiers

Analyser la rentabilité des courtiers afin d'aider à déterminer le segment du courtier

Appliquer l'analyse appropriée du risque de crédit et de la tarification lors de l'assistance aux demandes de souscription

Fournir aux courtiers une formation sur les systèmes et les processus, au besoin

Signaler les nouvelles occasions d'affaires, les programmes et les solutions au gestionnaire de compte pour approfondissement

Soutenir les comptes en souffrance lorsqu'il pourrait y avoir des répercussions sur la relation

Soutenir les activités de développement de nouvelles affaires

Effectuer des visites périodiques aux bureaux des courtiers
