Job Description – BIM Engineer (Structure)

Location: Chennai

Experience: 5–10 Years

Key Responsibilities

• •Develop and coordinate structural BIM models using industry-standard software.
• •Prepare and manage BIM deliverables, including 3D models, drawings, schedules, and documentation.
• •Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, MEP, Civil) to ensure effective model coordination and clash resolution.
• •Ensure compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), client standards, and company BIM protocols.
• •Perform model quality checks, data validation, and ensure adherence to LOD requirements.
• •Support design development, construction documentation, and project delivery using BIM workflows.
• •Participate in coordination meetings and resolve model-related issues with internal and external stakeholders.
• •Assist in implementing BIM best practices and continuous process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• •5–10 years of experience in Structural BIM modelling and coordination.
• •Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• •Experience working on building and infrastructure projects for domestic and/or international clients.
• •Strong understanding of structural engineering drawings, detailing, and BIM standards.
• •Experience in clash detection, model coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• •Familiarity with BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud is an added advantage.
• •Good communication and coordination skills with project teams.

Educational Qualification

• •B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• •BIM/Revit certification will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• •Hands-on experience in delivering BIM projects from concept through construction documentation.
• •Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with minimal supervision.
• •Experience working on Global Design Centre (GDC) or international projects will be preferred.
