BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN

Summary

You will serve as a BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN in the INSTALLATION SUPPORT DIRECTORATE of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Duties

• •You will assist in the development of work for the purpose of contract formalization and implementation of natural resource projects.
• •You will assist in developing implementation strategies and writing reports, to conducting discrete ecological and environmental scientific studies and surveys.
• •You will assist with conducting wildlife and vegetation surveys or studies to record wildlife activity in the field.
• •You will conduct onsite field surveys of areas identified for construction sites, training or other ground disturbing actions that require environmental documentation.
• •You will develop various bulletins, orders or briefings for publication or oral presentations.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience conducting Mojave Desert biological surveys, managing human-wildlife conflict resolution, and ensuring strict contractor and personnel compliance with Endangered Species Act (ESA), Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) regulations; skilled in biological data analysis, database maintenance, and technical report generation.
