Job Description Summary:

Collects, processes, and stores biological specimens for laboratory testing and research purposes. Does not perform hypothesis-based research or analysis on the biospecimens – serves as a supporting role to facilitate research.

Job Description:

• Essential Functions:
• •Collects, processes, and stores biological specimens according to established protocols and standard operating procedures.
• •Maintains accurate records of specimen collection, processing, and storage.
• •Ensures that specimens are properly labeled and tracked throughout the collection and storage process.
• •Performs quality control checks on specimens to ensure that they meet established standards.
• •Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies, and orders new supplies as needed.
• •Communicates with other laboratory staff and researchers to ensure that specimens are collected and processed in a timely and efficient manner.

• Education Requirement:
• •Bachelor's of Science or equivalent certification and experience, required.
• •Coursework in anatomy, physiology, statistics, and relevant research methods, preferred.
