Position Summary:

Responsible for the overall guest experience as it relates to education, delivery and presentation of bistro food and beverage

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Promotes superior guest service.
• •Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
• •Greets guests, explains bistro menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food, coffee, and additional beverage options.
• •Takes and delivers guest orders.
• •Performs all services as determined by establishment’s size and practices.
• •Performs Room service delivery duties.
• •Presents check, accepts payment, and makes change.
• •Performs side duties including cleaning tables, restocking-items, filling ice bins, set up, cleaning using compounds.
• •Has complete knowledge of the legal drinking age and procedures.
• •Checks for acceptable identification for guests who appear to be under 30 years of age and are attempting to consume or purchase alcoholic beverages.
• •Has knowledge of the effects of alcohol on the body and its ability to impair mental/physical abilities and thereby uses good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages.
• •Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• •Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• •High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
• •At least 1 year of experience in a food and beverage setting.
• •Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
• •Must be at least 21 years of age.
• •Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
• •Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Barista experience preferred
