Job Summary:

The Brand Communications Specialist supports the execution of branding and communications activities across the Asia Pacific region. Reporting to the Brand Manager, this role assists with brand governance, internal and external communications, social media activities, employee engagement initiatives, and the creation of visual assets.

The successful candidate is a detail-oriented, creative, and outgoing individual who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, learning new tools, and supporting projects that strengthen Avnet's brand presence across the region.

Principal Responsibilities:

Brand Governance & Resource s

  • Support the implementation and application of Avnet's brand guidelines across APAC.
  • Ensure marketing materials, presentations, and communication assets align with corporate brand standards.
  • Maintain central brand resources, templates, image libraries, and presentation decks.
  • Provide basic branding guidance to internal stakeholders across APAC.

Communications & Content Support

  • Support the development and execution of communications content across internal and external channels, including employee newsletters, announcements, executive communications, and event-related communications.
  • Coordinate localization and updates of communication materials for regional APAC markets.
  • Provide administrative and planning support for ongoing communications programs.

Social Media & Digital Communications

  • Support the planning, scheduling, and publishing of content across corporate social media channels (primarily LinkedIn).
  • Assist with social media monitoring, basic analytics reporting, and employee advocacy initiatives.
  • Help update website content and digital communication portals (e.g., SharePoint).

Visual Content & Presentation Design

  • Create basic visual graphics using Canva, PowerPoint, and other everyday design tools for social media, internal campaigns, and events.
  • Format and refine executive and team presentation materials to ensure a high standard of visual consistency.
  • Adapt existing brand templates for regional campaign needs.

Internal Engagement & Events

  • Support employee engagement initiatives, town halls, and regional campaigns where necessary.
  • Work with internal stakeholders across functions to ensure timely delivery of communications.

Job Level Specifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of discipline. Competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards.
  • Develops solutions for a variety of situations and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis. May refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance; determines best course of action to achieve results.
  • Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. May receive some limited guidance for new assignments. Work may be reviewed for overall adequacy.
  • Collaborates with management and team members within the department/function and other areas of the organization. May represent department internally or externally.
  • Actions may impact the success of the overall department and/or the organization. Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions may result in delays to projects, loss of revenue or allocation of additional resources to remedy.

JOB LEVEL & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–3 years of experience in communications, marketing, branding, public relations, or digital media preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internships or demonstrated interest in corporate communications are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience working in a regional or multicultural corporate environment is a plus.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications in digital marketing, social media, or graphic design are advantageous but not required.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint); familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or AI productivity tools is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Canva or similar graphic design platforms.
  • Basic understanding of corporate social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken) is required to support content development, stakeholder engagement, and communications activities across APAC.
