Business Analyst - IT Specialist - Compliance & Regulatory Technology

Location: NYC (Hybrid – at least 3 days onsite/week)

We are seeking a talented   IT Business Analyst to support our client's Compliance Department on a strategic regulatory technology implementation initiative. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering compliance, risk, or regulatory change projects within financial services , with strong expertise in business analysis, process mapping, testing, and stakeholder management across business, technology, and third-party vendor teams.

Role and responsibilities

• •Partner with Compliance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business, functional, and technical requirements.
• •Support the implementation of a regulatory technology (RegTech) solution, including configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
• •Conduct gap analyses and map current-state and future-state processes to improve regulatory and compliance workflows.
• •Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and validation of delivered solutions.
• •Support data migration and integration activities, including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation with internal systems.
• •Collaborate with internal governance teams, Head Office stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and regulatory compliance.

• •5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst within financial services.
• •Strong experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and business process improvement.
• •Hands-on experience supporting SaaS or enterprise software implementation projects.
• •Experience coordinating UAT activities and managing testing deliverables.
• •Familiarity with data integration, data migration, user access management, and software delivery lifecycles.
• •Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• •Experience working in regulated environments with governance, risk, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills

• •Experience with Compliance, GRC, RegTech, or Regulatory Reporting platforms.
• •Understanding of regulatory inventory, obligation management, and compliance risk management processes.
• •Experience supporting API and system integration projects.
• •Fluency in French is a plus.
