Base salary will be in the range $120,317 - $134,892 + 17% super (HEW Level 8)

About This Opportunity

The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering UQ’s new, custom-built Casual Academic Scheduling Solution. Working within the collaborative and purposeful MyTime Program, you will connect the operational scheduling needs of UQ schools with technical delivery, translating complex workforce requirements into a practical solution that integrates with the UKG platform. You will work alongside developers, specialists and stakeholders across UQ to help create meaningful change through improved scheduling processes and technology.

Key responsibilities will include :

• •Lead the elicitation, analysis and documentation of detailed business and functional requirements, engaging with subject matter experts and a dedicated working group.
• •Facilitate workshops to map future-state processes, define system requirements and translate business needs into clear user stories for the in-house development team.
• •Partner with developers and specialists to shape solution and integration design, including data mapping, interface specifications, exception handling and requirements traceability.
• •Develop test scenarios and test cases, support user acceptance testing, manage defects and contribute to change impact assessments, stakeholder communications and readiness activities.

About You

• •Demonstrated experience, typically five or more years, as a Business Analyst delivering complex system implementation or transformation projects.
• •Strong capability in requirements elicitation, business process mapping, functional analysis and the preparation of clear, structured documentation.
• •Demonstrated ability to translate complex operational requirements into actionable specifications and user stories for technical delivery teams.
• •Excellent stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and communication skills, with the confidence to work across technical and operational audiences.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, supported by close attention to detail and a disciplined approach to requirements traceability.
• •Experience developing functional, integration and user acceptance test scenarios and supporting business representatives through testing and defect resolution.
• •The ability to build collaborative working relationships with people leaders, developers, subject matter experts, system specialists and broader program teams.
• •Experience with workforce management, scheduling, rostering, or time and attendance solutions will be highly regarded.
