About Panoptyc

At Panoptyc, we're on a mission to revolutionize loss prevention. Using Visual AI and expert human reviewers, we help protect over 20,000 retail locations across the United States by detecting theft and operational issues before they become costly problems. From Fortune 500 retailers to regional chains, our technology helps businesses reduce shrink and improve operational efficiency.

As a fully remote, rapidly growing company, we're building a world-class team that thrives on ownership, speed, and innovation. If you're excited about using data to drive strategic decisions in a high-growth environment, we'd love to meet you.

The Role

We're looking for a Business & Finance Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and analysis across the company. This is a high-ownership role that sits at the intersection of finance, revenue operations, and business intelligence. You will be a direct partner to the COO, CFO, Controller, and leadership team on everything from lender reporting and board materials to pipeline modelling, customer-level revenue reconciliation, and the ad hoc strategic projects that come with a fast-growing business.

This role requires someone who is comfortable in the details of a multi-stream SaaS revenue model, understanding not just what the numbers say but equally willing to figure out how they are constructed, where they come from in the underlying systems, and how to explain discrepancies clearly to external stakeholders including lenders and auditors.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Reporting

Build and maintain financial models (budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning)

Analyze company performance against targets; flag trends, risks, and opportunities

Track and report on key business metrics/KPIs on a regular cadence

Prepare periodic lender reporting packages (covenant compliance, borrowing base support) in partnership with the CFO/Controller

Revenue Operations & Data Reconciliation

Work with the sales team to validate pipeline deal status, integrate sales pipeline data from HubSpot with financial actuals to maintain a customer-level recurring monthly revenue (RMR) file, reconciling data across QBO, Stripe, HubSpot, and proprietary sales databases

Partner with department leads to gather inputs and align on reporting needs

Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and tools

Executive & Customer-Facing Communication

Prepare materials for quarterly board meetings, including financial performance and KPI summaries

Build polished, data-driven presentations for our largest enterprise customers — quarterly business reviews and ROI/value narratives that translate account-level data into a compelling story for customer stakeholders

Partner with Sales and Customer Success to ensure customer-facing materials are accurate, current, and aligned with the underlying financial and usage data

Strategic & Special Projects

Lead ad hoc, high-visibility special projects for the COO/CFO — ranging from business-model questions (e.g., the unit economics of leasing vs. selling hardware) to in-depth studies quantifying the ROI our service delivers for a given customer or segment

Own projects end-to-end: frame the question, build the analysis, and deliver an executive-ready recommendation

Support ad hoc financial and business analysis to inform leadership decisions, including pricing, churn, discount structures, customer segmentation, and product mix

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting

Accounting and/or Finance certification

Demonstrated experience building polished, executive-level presentations for both internal (board) and external (customer/investor) audiences — board deck or customer QBR experience is a strong plus

Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; comfortable with financial modeling

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Strong data reconciliation skills; comfortable working across multiple source systems and identifying discrepancies

Fluent English (written and spoken)

Availability to work aligned with EST or CST timezone hours

Mindset

Proactive — takes ownership and moves things forward without waiting to be told

Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities

Resourceful — finds ways to get things done with limited time or resources

Adaptable, willing to wear multiple hats as the company grows

Proactive communicator — surfaces issues and inconsistencies before they become problems

High ownership — treats deliverables as if they are going directly to a lender, board member, or customer executive, because they often are

Comfortable scoping and running self-directed special projects — takes an open-ended question and turns it into a structured, decision-ready answer

Nice to Have

Experience in a startup or SaaS/tech environment

Experience in retail, loss prevention, or security industries

Familiarity with BI/reporting tools

NetSuite experience

HubSpot experience

Prior exposure to board-level, investor, or customer-facing reporting

Experience in a SaaS or subscription-revenue business; familiarity with RMR/ARR metrics and churn analysis

Experience with deferred revenue accounting and multi-year contract recognition

Familiarity with borrowing base calculations or asset-based lending structures

Exposure to hardware/asset-based business models or equipment leasing economics

Job Details

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Location: Remote

Schedule: Must be available to work during US Eastern Time (EST) or US Central Time (CST) business hours.

Language: Professional English proficiency required.
