Business Development Manager, Experience Studio, Scandinavia (Parental leave cover)

This exciting role delivers growth to The Experience Studio at Amex GBT in Scandinavia with a focus on Sweden. This is a temporary position for a 1 year maternity leave cover, with potential for other long term career opportunities for the right candidate.

Key focus of this role is new sales as well as cross selling from other areas business within GBT Group. The role requires effective researching and qualifying of prospects, and creating win strategies to build a high value pipeline to ensure successful achievement of targets.

To be successful in this role, we believe that the ideal candidate has a genuine curiosity in understanding our client’s businesses and how our Experience Studio can elevate their events and deliver on objectives.

What You’ll Do:

• •Identify, manage and drive prospects through the sales lifecycle in the Scandinavia live corporate events market environment
• •Contribute towards the profitability of the company by focusing on high revenue generating opportunities
• •Confidently promote and present our whole Experience Studio portfolio of services – Sourcing, Event Management, Group Travel & Creative Production
• •Lead cross selling opportunities from Strategic Meeting clients, Business Travel clients and other areas within Amex GBT
• •Proactive outreach; Prospect calls and meetings - this role is expected to keep a consistently high prospecting activity to generate new business leads and client conversions
• •Successfully build relationships and engage at key stakeholder level
• •Network and represent the company in industry communities and events
• •Work with creative team to deliver sales material and produce high quality pitch responses to win new business
• •Own RFI and RFP responses and processes acting as bid captain, leading the work on pricing, negotiations, proposal building, pitch presentations and contracting.

What We’re Looking For:

• •Proven track record in sales negotiations, new business results and closing skills in the corporate events marketplace
• •Minimum 2 years experience with a successful track record from a Business Development Role, preferably within event production
• •Experience of the live events industry
• •Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• •Comfortable liaising with stakeholder spectrum; C-level, Marketing, Heads of Department, procurement, internal operations & event managers
• •Fluent in written and spoken Business Swedish and English, any level fluency in a third Scandinavian language would be advantageous
• •Excellent client communication and presentation skills
• •Excellent networker and relationship builder
• •Independent and highly motivated, target driven
• •Ability to travel by airplane, boat, rail and/or car.

This role is remote, but we do offer access to the office in Stockholm (Liljeholmen) as option.
